Antique Burgess & Leigh "Nonpareil" flow blue butter pat, Middleport Pottery, Burslem, Staffordshire, England. SPECS: 3.5" diameter, 1.3 oz, scalloped rim, white earthenware body. Backstamp: "NONPAREIL / B & L / ENGLAND" in dark blue. DATE: c.1891-1919 (Late Victorian to Edwardian). The "ENGLAND" mark places this piece post-McKinley Tariff Act of 1891. Genuine antique flow blue, over 100 years old.
