Vintage ceramic covered dish in the form of a reclining lamb on a nest, a classic American country pottery form. The lamb lid is white with a textured wool surface, black-painted face, hooves, and ears, resting on a pale blue-green grass base. The bottom is a deep golden-brown basketweave-pattern bowl with a scalloped rim. Underside is inscribed in black marker: "Dorothy / From MARGE / 11-28-1972." One chip on base. Lid and base are present and fit together well.
