Wonderful Victorian era swivel keepsake brooch featuring an unusual intertwined circular frame surrounding an oval glass compartment with pivoting swivel construction. A beautifully sculptural antique piece with rich warm patina and substantial presence. Originally intended to hold a photograph, hairwork, fabric, or other sentimental keepsake beneath glass. The dimensional openwork design gives the piece an almost modernist feel while still retaining classic late Victorian craftsmanship and sentimentality.
