Devyn is my 22-year-old nephew. Last Thursday he collapsed at work after a severe headache, passed out, and aspirated. He was rushed to a Nashville ICU, on life support while doctors work around the clock to find out what's wrong. My family has faced this before. My sister Michelle lost her son Jared, Devyn's father, to swine flu when Devyn was a little guy. Now she watches her grandson fight the same fight. Devyn hasn't been alone once. His girlfriend Maddie and his mother Liz, a true warrior, have stayed by his side..along with other family members including my sister. He's only 22,into bodybuilding, and has worked hard at Walmart for 2 years since graduating. Good to his mother and madly in love with Maddy. He is deeply loved by so many dear friends and his family. So many have asked how to help. 100% of tips go straight to Liz, to help cover whatever Devyn needs when he wakes up. Dear Whatnot friends, My father, Robert Delayne Norris, passed away Saturday evening, holding the hand of the love of his life — my mother, his Barbie girl. It was quiet and peaceful, as she read to him from Isaiah 41:10. It's been an emotional rollercoaster these last six weeks. I've postponed many shows to be with him and help my family, and there may be more postponements ahead as we navigate what's next. My dad was full of humor and always had a great comeback — he'd want us to keep doing what we love and remember him with laughter. Thank you for your concern and kind notes.
