Wonderful old wire pastry blender/dough cutter with a beautifully worn green-painted wooden handle and loads of authentic-looking age and patina. Features multiple curved wire loops with aged, darkened metal and wonderfully distressed paint on the turned wood handle. Originally used for cutting butter or shortening into flour when making biscuits, pie crusts and other pastries. Today it makes a fantastic piece of primitive kitchen decor—perfect tucked into an old crock, utensil collection, bread board display or farmhouse kitchen vignette. Likely mid-20th century, possibly 1930s–1950s, based on comparable wire pastry blenders. Maker is unknown/unmarked from the areas shown, so I would not attribute it to a specific manufacturer.
