Antique Richards & Hartley Glass Company No. 99 Mikado water pitcher, dating to approximately 1886–1891. Also known to EAPG collectors as Daisy & Button with Crossbars, Mikado was introduced by Richards & Hartley in 1886. This large Victorian pressed-glass pitcher features the distinctive crossed bands over daisy-and-button motifs, decorative upper band, angular handle, elaborate pouring rim and patterned pedestal base. Produced in desirable pale canary/vaseline glass with an exceptionally strong fluorescent green uranium reaction under UV light. A beautiful and much less commonly encountered colored example of a documented 19th-century Richards & Hartley pattern. There is a small chip on the rim
