Written by beloved Swiss author Johanna Spyri and published by Scholastic Book Services under their collectible Scholastic Star Edition imprint (catalog number TX 270) with a 60¢ original cover price. This translation was originally copyrighted in 1959/1960 by arrangement with Franklin Watts, Inc. as part of "The Around the World Treasures" series.The front cover features a beautiful, classic mid-century color illustration of Heidi standing in the mountains with her goats, backed by a scenic Swiss alpine village.
