Tibetan vintage meditation carpet or prayer rug Roughly 18.5" long plus fringe. It is not truly square as it is slightly asymmetrical as shown in the photos. Shades of purple in a geometric pattern. Made of wool with cotton fringe hand knotted in very good condition. This is a vintage Tibetan rug or carpet from Dharamshala, India rug co-operative. Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, known for its scenic beauty, Tibetan culture, and as the home of the Dalai Lama in exile. I am selling this and others for a collector friend who bought rugs there in 1998.
