Vintage ornate Italian serving spoon and fork set featuring an elaborate Baroque/Rococo-style design with cherubs, scrolling openwork, twisted handles, and winged cherub finials. Marked “MADE IN ITALY” and “ITALY.” Likely mid-20th century and made of silver-tone plated metal, possibly over brass or another base metal. The spoon and fork have wonderfully detailed pierced bowls with multiple cherub/putti figures and decorative scrollwork. Both pieces show age-related wear, scratches, tarnish, darkening, and areas of finish loss consistent with vintage use and storage. The aged patina adds to their character.
