Vintage Lefton Waxwing Bird & Baby Figurine KW7456 Japan Hand Painted Ceramic Such a sweet vintage Lefton bird piece! This hand-painted ceramic/bisque figurine features a crested waxwing with its baby perched together on a textured branch with green leaves and a small red berry. The underside is marked KW7456 and still retains the original red-and-gold “Lefton Trade Mark Exclusives Japan” foil label. That label style is associated with Lefton’s post-1960 Japan production and was used across overlapping years. Similar KW7456 examples are also described in the market as mother-and-baby bird or robin/goldfinch figurines, but the crested adult with dark throat and yellow-tipped tail is most consistent with a waxwing. Measures approximately 5.5” tall x 5” wide x 3” long. Pre-owned with light age/display wear; no obvious chips, cracks, or repairs are visible in the supplied photos.
