Striking early vintage plastic leaf brooch with a dramatic sculpted botanical silhouette and gorgeous autumn coloring. Creamy ivory/yellow flows into coral, peach and touches of muted green, with deeply molded veins and textured details that give the leaf wonderful dimension. Older construction features a long pin stem with simple C-clasp. Material has not been tested, so it is described conservatively as early plastic rather than Bakelite or celluloid. A fantastic statement brooch for collectors of early plastic jewelry, Art Deco-era style and unusual botanical pieces. Vintage/preowned condition with visible age and finish wear, particularly to the reverse; please inspect photos. May have spots and/or need cleaning. Sold as found.
