Détails du produit

Date of Production: These novelty teapots were predominantly manufactured circa the 1930s to 1940s. Country of Origin: They were crafted in Japan. Pieces from this exact mold feature a stamped or hand-painted "Made in Japan" or "Japan" mark on the unglazed base. Majolica Style: The teapot utilizes low-relief molded feather textures and an earthy, vibrant color combination—light turquoise-blue glaze accented by a contrasting orange and black beak. This technique is highly characteristic of Japanese Majolica-inspired revival wares. Whimsical Mold Variations: The factory that produced this specific swan body used it for several animal themes. During the interwar period and the immediate post-WWII era, Japanese ceramic workshops produced vast quantities of novelty, figural kitchenware specifically targeted for export to Western markets (primarily the United States and Europe). has crazing mk chips or cracks.
