Original black-and-white snapshot, circa late 1930s, showing a city street scene anchored by the marquee of the "State" theater. The marquee reads (as legible): "COOL" / "STATE" / "...& THRILLING" / "JAMES STEWART" / "...ONDERFUL WORLD" / "...'S LOVE ON TAP" — consistent with the marquee advertising the James Stewart film It's a Wonderful World (1939), giving a probable date for the image. The scene also shows period automobiles parked at curbside, pedestrians crossing the street, storefront awnings, palm trees lining a broad boulevard, and a large classical-style building in the background. Size: Approx. 3.6 x 2.8 inches. Dating evidence: marquee film title text and style of automobiles/architecture point to circa 1939; no photographer or studio markings are present on the front, and the reverse was not photographed for markings. Condition: Grade G — significant adhesive residue on the reverse, consistent with prior mounting in an album. Front image is otherwise intact; please review photos closely as part of the listing. Keywords: vintage photography, 1930s cinema, James Stewart, antique snapshot, urban history, classic cars, vernacular photography, movie memorabilia, ephemera, streetscape.
