1950s mailing label / shipping tag from Schmoller & Mueller Piano Co., 1516-18 Dodge St., Omaha 2, Nebr. Printed in red and blue with the company's signature lyre logo (S-M monogram) at left. Text reads "Contents: Merchandise - Fourth Class Mail." Addressed in period typewriter script to Fred Elias, 3343 So. 17, Omaha, Nebr. Postmaster instructions at bottom read: "This parcel may be opened for postal inspection if necessary. Notify shipper in ten days if unable to deliver. RETURN POSTAGE GUARANTEED." A hand-drawn red ink circle/inspection mark appears on the right side. Dating evidence: the "Omaha 2, Nebr." postal zone designation places this piece in the 1943-1963 zone-number era, consistent with a 1950s date. Condition: VG-. Light overall toning and scattered foxing spots, a few small brown specks, and the noted red ink circle mark. No tears or losses observed; label is intact and legible throughout.
