Détails du produit

A tiny majolica leaf, mould pressed with every vein, glazed in raspberry pink shading to green with a sunny yellow edge. Butter pat, ring dish, or the smallest salt cellar on the table. | SPECS: Approx 3.75 in across, moulded earthenware leaf form with lead glazes in pink, green, and ochre. Unmarked base; origin and date left open. | HISTORY: Leaf shaped butter pats were the workhorse of the American and English majolica trade in the 1870s and 1880s, sold by the dozen and lost by the dozen, which is why singles are hunted now. The mottled pink over green is the palette of the unmarked American potteries of that period. Without a mark it stays unattributed. | CONDITION: A small chip to the rim at the pink edge and a glaze flake near it, staining and old grime to the unglazed base, some crazing. Priced for charm, not perfection. Tap test pending. Sold as found; please review every photo. Stay crazed, darlings.

À propos du vendeur
Antique transferware, vintage china, and pretty old things are still worth loving. Psych nurse practitioner by day, certifiably unhinged collector by night. I treat patients, and I treat myself — usually to transferware. Board-certified in beautiful things. Stay crazed, darlings - Natalie
