Détails du produit
Presented here is a vintage Angelus Chronodato triple-calendar chronograph wristwatch dating to the 1940s. Measuring 37mm, this example features a silver-tone dial with Arabic numerals, two chronograph registers, and the distinctive complete-calendar display for which the Chronodato became known. Angelus introduced the model in 1942 under the name Chronodate, shortly afterward changing the name to Chronodato. Combining a chronograph with a complete calendar, it became one of the most recognizable watches produced by the historic Swiss manufacture. This manual-wind watch is powered by the Angelus caliber SF 217, developed from the earlier SF 215. Its functions include central chronograph seconds, a 45-minute chronograph counter, small seconds, and a complete calendar displaying the day, date, and month. The silver-tone dial displays the month through an aperture at 12 o’clock and the day at 6 o’clock, while a central pointer hand indicates the date along the numbered outer scale. Small seconds are positioned at 9 o’clock and the 45-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock. The watch is housed in a 37mm round case and is fitted with a black leather strap. It has been inspected by our in-house watchmaker and is running and keeping time.
