More teeth in contact means it feeds hair rather than pushing it, and the deeper grooves let bulk clear instead of packing between the teeth. It adjusts from 0000 to 0A right on the lever, so debulking and detail work happen on one setup with no blade change, and it is zero-gappable — published by Andis as a feature, not something you do at your own risk.
