Flow blue in miniature with the gilt still on the rim. Maddock's Linda pattern, a swirl of blue florals and scrollwork bleeding softly into the white, on a scalloped butter pat over 120 years old. HISTORY | John Maddock began potting in Burslem in 1842; the firm became J. Maddock & Sons in 1870 and ran until the mid-1960s. Royal Vitreous was their premium semi-porcelain body of the 1890s, and Linda is one of the flow blue patterns exported heavily to America at the turn of the century.
