This item is a Victorian-style silver-plated (or silver) sugar scuttle or sweetmeat dish, designed in the form of a cracked egg with a chick perched on the edge.  Key Features & Design Shape: A cracked, open eggshell sitting at an angle on a pedestaled base, featuring jagged, cracked edges around the rim.  Figurine: A small, detailed chick perched atop the higher rear rim of the shell.  Handle: A decorative ornate handle attached to the back end.  Primary Intended Uses 1.
