1960’s-1980’s. 5” Tall The Manufacturer ("YT"): The letters "YT" stand for the Yuet Tung China Works, which was established in 1928 and holds the distinct title of being Hong Kong's first and last remaining hand-painted porcelain factory.The "Decorated in Hong Kong" Era: This specific mark traces back to a major boom period in the 1960s to 1980s. During this era, white "blank" porcelain vessels were mass-produced and imported into Hong Kong (often from Japan, hence why some of these items carry the "Japanese Porcelain Wares" tag elsewhere). Master artisans at the Yuet Tung workshop then painstakingly hand-painted the intricate Guangcai (Canton style) and Imari motifs on top of the glaze.
