Détails du produit

Up for your consideration is this absolutely stunning, rare original antique 19th century French Limoges kiln-fired enamel on copper small tray/vanity depicting the painting most likely by Theophile Soyer who was a French 19th century painter born in 1853. There is a corner that has enamel loss which isn’t uncommon for these types of pieces. See pictures for details. Some slight loss on edges as well but in otherwise beautiful condition. The painting itself is absolutely breathtaking with it’s fine details. The picture is most likely of a famous clown by the name of Polichinelle who was a popular character from the commedia dell’arte which was originally painted on a door panel in a Paris apartment. Similar ones selling for upwards of $1000 with defects. These are very rare and only found a handful just like this one online! Get a beautiful piece of history! Tray measuring approximately 6 5/8” x 5 1/8” x 1”.
