Known for their energy and tenacity, which allow them to swim against strong currents, koi are popularly associated with strength, determination, and success. High relief design The coin’s high relief design portrays three koi fish swimming in a pebble lined stream with water lily flowers floating on the surface. The design is ‘antiqued’ to give it a unique finish conveying the surface abrasions of an ancient artefact. Also included on the reverse is the coin’s weight, purity, and year-date.
