Thank you sir, absolutely stunning piece “Purchased as an ‘Uncirculated’ 1920 Threepence, but the coin received is clearly not uncirculated. The coin appears to have been heavily polished or cleaned, with much of the King’s portrait detail removed and the original surface destroyed. The reverse rim and design details are also significantly worn and lack the sharpness expected of an uncirculated example.
For comparison, I own circulated examples that retain considerably more detail than the coin supplied. photographs provided to whatnot show the issue clearly. This item was materially misdescribed and does not match the advertised grade. Very disappointed with the purchase and would not have bought it had it been accurately described.” This is obviously a scam to sell circulation coins as uncirculated to unwary customers. A refund was offered for the return but the scam needs reporting to whatnot with the evidence in hand. Don’t get scammed by unscrupulous dealers on this platform…
