​Manufacturer: Lorraine Metal Mfg. Co. (New York, NY). Era: Late 1930s to early 1940s. Historical Note: Lorraine Metal Mfg. Co. products were featured in several MoMA "Useful Objects" exhibitions (1940–1944) as examples of functional American design. Build: Cast iron frame with original green enamel finish; plated steel rotary drum; wood handle and feeder block. Function: Manual hand-crank operation with integrated adjustable table clamp. Dimensions: 8" height. ​Condition: * Operational hand crank and drum. ​Surface oxidation and paint wear consistent with age. Metal has smal bend along one corner, see closeup photos. ​All original components (handle and wood block) are present. ​Adjustable clamp screw is fully functional.
