It also releases tannins, helping create a more natural environment similar to what many fish thrive in. Cholla is natural and may contain small plant material inside—this is normal and aquarium safe. WOOD HAS BEEN CLEANED! MIGHT HAVE TO FLOAT IT FOR A DAY OR SO 🙂
