Capricorn One is a 1977 American thriller film. It's about a reporter who discovers that a government conspiracy is behind the faked landing of a crewed mission on Mars. TV Insider In the film, NASA removes three astronauts from their capsule after a mechanical failure threatens to kill them. To prevent a public outcry, NASA launches the capsule unmanned and requires the astronauts to film fake mission footage in a studio. However, a journalist discovers the conspiracy and the plan is compromised. It's got the late OJ Simpson as an astronaut.
