This is our most recent version of our fire tool. We 3d print the handle with or without the tinder storage in the base. The 3d handle is glow in the dark as well as the lanyard and lanyard bead. The lanyard provides 4 feet of glow 550 cord. The silver metal is magnesium. When shaved into a dime to quarter size pile and hit with a spark, it burns at 3000-5000 degrees Fahrenheit. It will ignite when wet and help start a fire when you need it. The black metal is a coated Ferrocerium alloy (Ferro rod). That is the true workhorse of this tool. The sparks burn between 3-5 thousand degrees as well, which is why can light dried materials with ease. You don’t have to use both metals together, but when you do, it’s amazing!
