Expertly crafted by renowned American doll pioneer Emma Clear during her early workshop period (late 1930s to early 1940s), this piece predates her later signed works.The doll features a beautifully painted matte bisque head with an intricate molded floral bonnet and a classic "pouty" expression. The head is completely free of chips, cracks, or restorations. It is built on a premium, heavy-weight cotton sateen/linen fabric body that is densely packed with authentic vintage filler (feels very solid and heavy, completely ruling out modern polyester fill).
