商品の詳細

A grand plain white ironstone wash pitcher in classic English farmhouse form - paneled baluster body, scalloped lip, and an elegant scrolled handle. The simplest, most collectible silhouette: clean white that pairs with everything. SPECS: Approx 11 in tall; white semi-porcelain (ironstone) body; paneled/scalloped form; large water or wash pitcher. Maker John Maddock & Sons, Burslem, England. Backstamp: crown over Royal Semi-Porcelain, John Maddock & Sons, England. HISTORY: John Maddock & Sons (Burslem, est. 1842) used the Royal Semi-Porcelain mark on white ironstone made largely for export from about 1906, dating this to the early 1900s over a century old. White ironstone was the workhorse of the English and American kitchen and scullery, prized today for its quiet, sculptural simplicity.

Antique transferware, vintage china, and pretty old things are still worth loving. Psych nurse practitioner by day, certifiably unhinged collector by night. I treat patients, and I treat myself — usually to transferware. Board-certified in beautiful things. Stay crazed, darlings - Natalie
