Italy 1970-1990 A tall, fluted art glass vase featuring a pale, iridescent peach-toned swirl pattern with a ruffled, freeform handkerchief rim. Often referred to as Fazzoletto vases, this iconic handkerchief design was famously popularized in the 1940s by Fulvio Bianconi for Venini. This style has since become synonymous with Italian Murano glassmaking, where craftsmen use centrifugal force to shape the molten glass into its characteristic draped, undulating form.
