Blue Apatite — Africa Apatite's blue variety is prized for the same saturated, almost neon color that gives it its name — from the Greek "apatan," meaning "to deceive," since apatite was so often mistaken for other gemstones. This piece carries that classic vivid blue, sourced from Africa. Each piece arrives in a perky box with a display stand insert and printed label (Apatite, Africa) — ready to display or add to a collection. Pick your specimen above — each one is photographed individually so what you see is exactly what you get. Apatite is moderately soft (5 on the Mohs scale) and can scratch more easily than quartz-family stones — best kept away from harder minerals in storage.
