Lot of 9 vintage 1970s color snapshots (3.5x5) documenting a fall camping trip, likely to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee/North Carolina. Highlight photo shows a red interpretive park sign reading "THE CHIMNEY TO[PS]" describing the peak's 4720-foot elevation and hiking trail, confirming the location. Companion images show a stone-wall overlook with a hazy mountain valley behind three posed adults, likely taken at the same site. Remaining photos capture everyday campsite life: a canvas tent with Coleman lantern box and cooler, a woman emerging from the tent with camping gear, two women preparing food at a picnic table, a woman cooking on a camp stove near tents and a trailer, two men packing a car trunk and cot amid fallen leaves, three adults posing by a frost-covered evergreen, and a scenic valley view framed by overhanging trees. Autumn foliage throughout suggests a fall trip. All prints show typical 1970s color shift/fading, with some motion blur and haze; no borders or captions visible. Condition varies from fair to good, with some soft focus and red-shift common to the era. Associated with the estate of USAF Col. Patricia Jane Harrington. A cohesive small archive of a personal camping trip, ideal as a themed lot. Please review photos for condition.
