Locality & Provenance State/County: Arizona, Pinal County, USA Geologic Source: Formed in a historic, highly oxidized desert copper zone (Similar to the Mammoth-St. Anthony or Ray Mine districts). Origin: 100% legally self-collected by rockhounds. Mineral Details & Composition This piece is a classic "gossan" combo stone featuring four distinct secondary minerals displaying beautiful, contrasting color zoning: Dioptase: Pockets of deep, vibrant emerald-green micro-crystals that catch the light and sparkle intensely when rotated. Chrysocolla: Smooth, robin's-egg to teal-blue silicate crusts that coat the face of the stone and cradle the dioptase pockets. Malachite: Secondary deep-green, fibrous patches growing tightly along the borders of the blue silicate zones. Limonite/Goethite Matrix: The authentic, iron-rich, dark brown host rock base.
