Functionality: When pulled or unscrewed apart (IMG_5615.jpg), it reveals a hidden inner compartment containing a compact wooden or early plastic spool wound with sewing thread. (no needle) Removable Core: As detailed in photo, the inner spool assembly is fully removable. One end includes a small metal housing which typically serves as a hidden thimble or storage for miniature needles.
