The horse was fearless, fast, and fiercely loyal, carrying its rider through danger and returning him safely back to his people. However, one night he was surrounded by enemies as both he and his horse fell in battle. When morning came, their bodies were never found, but hoofprints leading towards the sunrise were as they faded into nothing. From that point forward, the elders spoke of seeing the Ghost Horse as its form would appear in moments of dire need. The horse would gallop across the sky, reminding the people of the bravery and love between man and beast. Those who were able to see it were said to be blessed with courage and clarity.
