Original collection of six vintage black-and-white snapshot photographs dating to approximately the late 1930s through early 1940s. This collection captures everyday urban life with views of tree-lined residential streets, historic apartment buildings, sidewalks, and period architecture. One photograph also features vintage automobiles and a commercial or industrial streetscape. The photographs appear to document the same neighborhood and are believed to depict a northeastern U.S. city, possibly New York City, although the exact location has not been positively identified.
