Set of 3 vintage hardcover schoolbooks formerly used by Tacoma Public Schools in Washington. Includes The Caravan of Nick and Dick by Gates, Baker & Peardon, Macmillan, 1938, illustrated by Florence McAnelly; The Merchant of Venice from The New Hudson Shakespeare series, Ginn & Company, 1935; and Daniel Boone: Wilderness Scout by Stewart Edward White, Academy Classics, Allyn & Bacon, circa 1926. Each retains original Tacoma school labels, stamps, student names and handwritten notes, including references to Stadium High School and Meeker Jr. High. Books show substantial age and classroom wear, including rubbing, frayed corners and spines, staining, toning, writing and handling wear. The Caravan has especially worn edges and visible page staining. Sold as a collectible decorative lot and wonderful piece of local Washington educational history. Please review all photos carefully.
