The Bone Collector is a 1997 crime thriller novel by Jeffery Deaver, the first in the Lincoln Rhyme series, featuring a quadriplegic forensic criminalist who, with the help of a young police officer, races to stop a serial killer in New York City. The killer, known as the "Bone Collector," leaves intricate clues at his crime scenes, forcing the brilliant but physically helpless Rhyme to use his mind to solve the case, with officer Amelia Sachs acting as his hands and eyes.
