This classic pre-1857 copper beauty features the iconic Braided Hair Liberty design by Christian Gobrecht — strong details in the hair braids, coronet with LIBERTY, and that big ol’ wreath on the reverse with ONE CENT. Minted in Philadelphia with a healthy mintage, but these big old cents are getting harder to find in decent shape every year. Perfect for collectors building a Braided Hair set, early copper enthusiasts, or anyone who loves big vintage pennies with real history. These were the workhorses of American commerce in the 1840s!
