Beautiful vintage brooch, believed to date to around the 1930s–40s. Features a large faceted ruby-red glass/paste centre stone surrounded by sparkling marcasites in an ornate pierced silver-tone setting. Finished with a traditional pin and catch plus original-style safety chain and pin. Unmarked and non-magnetic apart from slight magnetism to the safety chain. Metal content unknown, so sold as silver-tone base metal. Lovely vintage condition with wonderful sparkle and a particularly striking deep red centre stone
