Retold by celebrated poet and author Eve Merriam and adapted from Sara Cone Bryant's classic southern folklore stories. This paperback is beautifully illustrated by Caldecott Medal-winning artist Trina Schart Hyman Etsy and was released under Scholastic catalog number TW 1382 with a retro 45¢ original cover price.
