Early United States Large Size Capped Bust Dime from the 1809–1828 series. 🇺🇸 This well-traveled piece shows the classic Capped Bust Liberty obverse with 13 stars, while the reverse still retains the eagle, shield, portions of the lettering, and the 10 C denomination. The coin is heavily circulated with extensive wear, and the individual date has worn smooth, so no specific year or JR variety is assigned. Despite the wear, enough of the major design remains to make this a very recognizable example of early American silver coinage. Approx. 18.8 mm • 2.4 grams • 89.24% silver / 10.76% copper.
