often called kozara, used for appetizers, desserts, or sauces. The crisp blue geometric designs have a lovely mid-century-modern feeling, likely dating from approximately the 1970s–1990s. The blue symbol is a Japanese pottery seal, but I can’t confidently connect it to a documented major maker. It appears more consistent with a small kiln or decorator’s mark than with Fukagawa, Noritake, or another widely collected manufacturer.
