Vintage Tenmoku Pottery handcrafted ceramic sleeping ram rattle, made in Malaysia. This art pottery figure depicts a rounded resting ram with large curled horns and contrasting botanical-style decorative panels in tan, brown and dark tones. The figure is hollow and contains an internal ceramic rattle/pellet that produces a distinct sound when gently shaken. This is an intentional feature of the piece rather than a loose broken part; comparable Tenmoku ram figures are documented as pottery rattles. Original paper label remains on the underside and reads “Malaysia Handicraft,” “Tenmoku Pottery” and “Made in Malaysia.” The label also retains a handwritten factory or inventory notation. Approximate measurements are about 3¼–3½ inches long, approximately 3 inches wide and about 2–2½ inches high. Please refer to measurement photos for the most accurate sizing. Very nice vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs noted in the photographs. The handmade nature of the pottery produces natural variations in surface, glaze and decoration. Original label shows expected age/storage wear.
