Vintage 1974 Westmoreland Glass hen on nest covered dish in opaque jadeite-green glass with a detailed basketweave base. Marked with the Westmoreland WG logo. This Hen on Basketweave Base form is documented in 1974, with the color identified by collectors as Green Slag / Marble. This example appears primarily solid opaque jadeite green with subtle lighter color variation around portions of the basket rim. Believed to possibly be a special or commemorative issue and may have been associated with an additional animal or bunny component; this has not been confirmed. Very good vintage condition.
