A mystery king who turned out not to exist These "Koson" staters copy two different Roman Republican denaril wholesale -- the eagle from one moneyer's coin, the lictor procession straight off a Brutus denarius -- and collectors long assumed they belonged to an otherwise unknown Thracian king named Koson. Scholars now connect them instead to the Dacian king Burebista.
