Stunning vintage hand-carved solid dark hardwood standing male sculpture, expertly crafted in the traditional East African folk art style (heavily stylized after classic Tanzanian Makonde and Kenyan artisan wood carvings). This piece features rich natural dark wood grain, detailed hand-carved facial features, textured hair, and carved trousers standing upon an integral textured wooden base. A wonderful mid-century global art piece showcasing traditional craftsmanship. Pre-owned vintage condition with natural wood patina and minor wear on the bottom base. Perfect statement piece for collectors of African tribal art and folk decor!
