A Silesian porcelain saucer with a gilt lace border, a band of dainty coral and blue sprigs, and a gilt inner ring on a soft ivory ground, all on a scalloped blank. Lovely under a mixed teacup. | SPECS: Approx 5.75 in diameter, porcelain with transfer floral decoration and gilt lace border. Backstamp: C.T. with eagle and GERMANY (green); painted red decorator number. | HISTORY: Carl Tielsch founded his porcelain works at Altwasser in Silesia in 1845, making it one of the big German export houses of the late nineteenth century. The eagle and C.T. mark with GERMANY below dates the saucer between the 1891 tariff act and 1934, when the works passed to Hutschenreuther. | CONDITION: Light wear to the gilt lace, a couple of glaze pops at the foot rim from manufacture. No chips or hairlines seen; tap test pending. Saucer only. Sold as found; please review every photo. Stay crazed, darlings.
