Pictured is a vintage gold-tone dress or scarf clip featuring ornate taille d'épargne decoration. The front has finely engraved floral and foliate motifs with recessed details filled with black opaque enamel, set against a richly textured gold-tone background. The slightly curved rectangular form measures approximately 1 3/4" x 1". Hinged openwork clip mechanism on the reverse. Unsigned. Condition: Age-related surface wear, light scratching and some wear/loss to the dark enamel detailing visible under magnification. Clip mechanism functions properly.
