A striking mid-century novelty brooch by H. Pomerantz. Shaped like a stylized dagger/sword, this silver-tone piece features a large iridescent aurora borealis central stone complemented by clear accent rhinestones set into the ornamental hilt. Pomerantz was a New York-based costume jewelry house known for producing novelty pieces, Art Deco designs, Victorian Revival styles, and intricate rhinestone brooches. Because original company archives were largely lost after Herman Pomerantz passed away in 1967, signed pieces are relatively scarce and sought after by vintage costume jewelry collectors.
